I don't know if it's even possible for Pope Benedict to make himself sound like even more of an asshat than he already is, but he sure is trying! Here's the latest gem:

Consequently, policies which undermine the family threaten human dignity and the future of humanity itself,"By "policies which undermine the family" he is referring, of course, to allowing same sex couples to get married. Yes, that's right, gay marriage undermines families and is a threat to humanity, because as we all know every time a gay couple marries a happily married heterosexual couple with children spontaneously combusts... Hey Pope Benedict, you know what else harms families? Demonizing a 9 year old rape victim, her family, and the doctors who performed an abortion to save her life, that really devastates families when it happens to them. Oh, and you know what else is a threat to humanity? Telling people in an area where AIDS is spreading like wildfire not to wear condoms to prevent the spread of the virus. That really fucking threatens humanity. You want to protect families, human dignity, and humanity itself, Pope Benedict? Then do us all a huge favor and shut the fuck up!!
